Portfolio Update – December 2016

December 2016

New Investment in global food export business

Advent Partners 1 Fund (Advent 6) has invested in a global food export business during December 2016. This is Advent’s fifth generational change deal in succession and second global food export business after Gourmet Garden. Details of the transaction remain confidential at this time.

Junior Adventures head of class

Advent’s before and after school business continues to achieve outstanding results under the National Quality Framework (NQF), with 40% of its OSHClub branded programs assessed at an Exceeding rating by the Education and Care Regulatory Authority. These ratings build on Junior Adventures goal to be Australia’s preeminent provider of high quality outside school hours care supported by continued investment in program curriculum and technology which enhances engagement between families, schools and their communities.

All smiles at Wellness & Lifestyles

In September 2016, Advent added Alpha Dental to its allied health platform business Wellness & Lifestyles (W&L). Alpha Dental provides mobile dentistry and prosthetics services to residential aged care, correctional facilities and schools across Victoria. In the near term, W&L plans to expand Alpha Dental’s business to other states outside Victoria. The acquisition is consistent with Advent’s investment thesis of building W&L into a multi-disciplinary allied health leader and complements its existing services which include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry, speech pathology and dietetics. W&L currently services the residential aged care, in-home and disability markets.
